Wayne Barnes’ first appearance at Molesey Road was as an aspiring official in charge of an Esher landslide victory over Met Police by 103 points to 7.

Twenty years later, now retired as the world’s no 1 referee, he entertained a full house in the Downey Suite at the club’s annual dinner with tales from on and off the field.

Perhaps his most memorable tale was how he’s been replaced as the face in a urinal in New Zealand by Donald Trump. (It’s a long story).

A good night was had by all.  Huge thanks to Wayne…. And here are a few pictures from the evening taken by Leo the inestimable snapper.
