An unforgettable afternoon of rugby camaraderie, fine dining, and legendary storytelling as Esher Rugby Club welcomed guests to its Lions City Lunch at the elegant Brasserie Blanc on Threadneedle Street on Thursday 5th June 2025.
The event, was a celebration of rugby heritage and spirit, bringing everyone together for a truly special occasion. Hosted by the ever-charismatic John Inverdale, the lunch featured a stellar lineup of rugby greats including Sir Ian McGeechan, Peter Winterbottom MBE, and Rob Henderson
Guests were treated to a 3-course meal in the stylish surroundings of Brasserie Blanc, accompanied by lively conversation, laughter, and insights from some of the sport’s most respected figures. The speakers shared stories from their time with the British & Irish Lions, offering a rare glimpse behind the scenes of some of rugby’s most iconic moments.
