On Friday night, Esher U14s proudly hosted a fantastic floodlit 7s tournament, welcoming teams from Chiswick RFC, Camberley RFC, and Effingham & Leatherhead RFC. The evening was filled with fast-paced, high-quality rugby played in great spirit, with all the boys giving it their all and having a brilliant time.

The winners of the tournament were the Effingham & Leatherhead Eagles, who triumphantly took the trophy home after an impressive display on the field.

A huge thank you goes out to our Young Match Official, Ben from OC’s, who did a superb job refereeing, supported by Katrina. Our thanks also go to Simon, Richard, and Andy, who ensured the games ran smoothly with their officiating.

Fortunately, injuries were minimal, meaning our first aider, Sharon, wasn’t too busy—though we’re always grateful to have her on hand! And, of course, a final thank you to Gerry’s team for keeping everyone well-fed and hydrated at the bar and BBQ, always with a smile.

Without the support of referees, volunteers, and our fantastic rugby community, events like this wouldn’t be possible. A big well done to all the teams involved for making it a memorable night of rugby!
