Esher Rugby Club welcomed a packed crowd for a sold-out Afternoon with Gary Lineker at The Mitre, Hampton Court, on November 28. Set beside the River Thames, guests enjoyed a gourmet three-course lunch in the hotel’s Orangery before an entertaining Q&A with the England football legend.
Hosted by broadcaster John Inverdale, the session mixed candid stories from Lineker’s playing career with behind-the-scenes tales from Match of Day, amusing anecdotes about former teammates and his views on the modern game. The event also featured photo opportunities and a charity auction supporting Esher Rugby.
